Racial and ideological motives initiated the drug prohibition. Opium was banned out of anti-Chinese sentiment (who used it the most) in the 1870/80's, cocaine was banned because of the blacks in the 1910's, cannabis because of the Mexicans in the 1930's, psychedelics because of the hippy/counterculture/anti-war movement in the 60's, MDMA because of the rave scene in the 80's. <strong>Anything different from the establishment's definition of "American" was a threat, especially movements of young people, the nation's future, which differed from the current politics and accepted worldview. And on top of that (for the hippies and ravers) fueled by powerful agents of realization. Because no lie or manipulation is effective against the ability to see and experience for yourself, and no hate and fear politics will work against someone who has realized universal love through psychedelics or empathogens. Not to say there are not other means, but mind expanding drugs are the quickest, most convenient and accessible method, and thus the most dangerous to those that want them banned. The true oneness of everything. When you become aware of yourself and everything around you right down to the smallest subatomic particles and realize, how ever cliche it may sound, that you *are* everything. The "becoming of universe" feeling that everyone talks about, is that you realize that everything is fundamentally made out of the same stuff, that your first ancestor was nothing but interstellar dust floating in mid space 13 billion years ago, that everything you ever knew begins here, in this dust that eventually formed everything we ever came in contact with, everything that is. When you look yourself in the mirror you see the universe as much as you see a human being. Everything is fundamentally one, just arranged in different ways. It is that moment that all prejudices are lost.</p><p></p><p>--</p><p></p><p>I potpuno se slazem u vezi suocavanja sa stvarnoscu, ustvari su oni koji daju cudne poglede i komentiraju kako nisi normalan kad im prepricavas iskustvo i ono sto ti je pokazalo, oni su ti koji se skrivaju od stvarnosti. Nasa stvarnost je samo projekcija naseg uma, psihodelici kratkotrajno micu taj plast i izlazu nas svoj sili prave stvarnosti. Nikako ne mislim da u potpuno otkljucanoj stvarnosti treba stalno zivjeti, zapravo to bi bilo katastrofalno jer um je kakav je s razlogom, ali povremene ekskurzije u necenzuriranu stvarnost nam pomazu integrirati zivotna iskustva i dogadjaje u vecu sliku koja nije vidljiva u defaultnom stanju uma.</p><p></p><p>E da i, znam da sam ovo vec postao svagdje, al jedan je od najdrazih mi citata i odlicno objasnjava sto zelim reci ovdje:</p><p></p><p>"Why is it that people think it's so evil, what is it about it that...scares people so deeply? </p><p>Because they're afraid that there's more to reality than they have confronted.
