Something amazing just happened:
The U.S. House of Representatives voted 219-189 to put a stop to the DEA's federal
war on medical marijuana!
Because of calls and emails from supporters like you, our elected officials have finally gotten the message that marijuana reform is a mainstream issue that voters want them to take positive action on.
No doubt about it: This is a moment for celebration. But it's not a time to rest or to quit pushing for the changes we know are needed.
For one thing, we still need to get the Senate and President Obama to agree to the House-passed language that prevents the DEA and other Justice Department agencies from spending money to harass states that have legalized medical marijuana.
And, we still need to
codify changes in federal law to protect states that go beyond medical marijuana and have ended prohibition for all adults.
Please help us bring about the
end of the war on marijuana sooner rather than later. We can't do it without you.
Let's keep building the majority,
