uNN - Silence
üNN, the main project of the Frankfurt multimedia artist Frank Rüeckert. Working as VJ for Sven Vaeth, Pascal FEOS, or Monika Kruse, the computer scientist is an integral part of the international Club scene. After his albums 'Delay' (Elektrolux, 1999), 'Relief' (Elektrolux, 2000), 'Electronic Music' (Mikrolux, 2002, also avaible on DVD) as well as the DVD cooperation 'ueNN + osa = strom' produced with students of architecture at the Technical University of Darmstadt (Elektrolux, 2004), he closes the gap between sensual ambient and motor-comprehensible elektro of his previous releases by his new longplayer 'Silence'. His long-standing work concerning the visual aesthetics of FLOWMOTION once again has resulted in a kind of music highly evoking synthetic but yet organic images between natural romanticism and urban speed - another facet of the outstanding artist. Frank Rückert is telling stories with sounds and is often surprised by himself while working in the studio: 'I love to jam a lot, and out of this unexpected and surprising ideas, the best tracks were produced'. This is the philosophy of his musical work. And by the impressionistic piano ('For The People'), Asia-like music box sounds ('Metamorphic'), with synthie melodies flirting with the early nineties ('Seconds Of Your Time') or densely-woven Liquid-Dub ('Into the Biosphere'), your inner cinema is stimulated in the most pleasant way.

KRÓM - It All Makes Sense Now
It is simply unbelievable, which kind of potential in regard of electronic music has been hiding in the Northern latitudes and has only started to really happen in the past couple of years. Mikrolux today proudly presents another promising project from the Northern Hemisphere: Króm. The creators of this interesting sounding name are the two highly talented producers Andrew Lord und Úlfar Thordarson. With 'It All Makes Sense Now', our debuting duo has delivered a more than convicing release for Mikrolux. Inbetween of the introductive 'Nebula' and the smooth 'Shimmer' outro, Lord/Thordarson have embedded twelve beautiful poetic pieces of electronic music which manage to deeply touch almost every person listening immediately. Wether it is the long-lasting darkness during the ecplise of the sun or just the Northern nature, who knows but the way our Scandinavian artists are combining the most fragile fairy-kind of melodies with extremely grooving rhythms is impressing us every time anew.
